PDP Commends Osun Assembly For Commencing Impeachment Process Against Aregbesola

The Osun State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on Friday commended the State House of Assembly over its commencement of impeachment proceedings against Governor Rauf Aregbesola following a petition by Justice Folahanmi Oloyede.

The State PDP Publicity Secretary, Mr. Bola Ajao, made the commendation in a statement issued in Osogbo, the stateCAPITAL.

The statement read, “We want to commend the lawmakers for commencing the process of impeaching Governor Aregbesola inORDER to save the state.

“For us as a political party, our concern is beyond playing the traditional role of opposition party. It is about the people of Osun State. It is about men and women who are supposedly gainfully employed but are now refugees in their own land, living on handouts from compassionate religious andCORPORATE bodies.

“It is about thePRESENT and future of the state. It is about generations unborn and questions that would be asked us if we don’t act collectively now.

“EvenMEMBERS of Aregbesola’s party know that he spoke from his heart when he said he was clueless about how to rescue the state from imminent doom.

“The lawmakers will be writing their names in gold, irrespective of party affiliations, if they take theLEAD in rescuing their constituents from penury and impending economic catastrophe.

“History and posterity will not forgive the lawmakers if they allow the fading administration of Aregbesola to scuttle the impeachment process on the altar of political exigency and partisan conspiracy.

“We are aware of the tremendous pressure being brought upon the lawmakers by the insensitive leaders and chieftains of the All Progressives Congress within and outside of the state, but the lawmakers owe posterity and their generations unborn this moment of history toOFFER the state the last straw before it would collapse irretrievably.

“We have it on goodAUTHORITY that a deal had been reached between Governor Aregbesola and the leadership of the Assembly to kill the impeachment process by referring his response to Justice Oloyede’s petition to a Kangaroo committee of the Assembly that would rule that the governor has no case to answer on the weighty allegations raised by the petitioner.

“This isCOMPLETELY unacceptable to the traumatised people of Osun State and such shenanigan will be fiercely resisted”.

Borno Gov, Emir Of Bama Break Ramadan Fast With IDPs In Their Camp

Governor of Borno State, Alhaji Kashim Shettima, yesterday set aside official protocol as he led government officials to break their fast at anINTERNALLY displaced persons’ camp.

The governor was accompanied by the Shehu of Bama, Alh. Kyari Ibn Ibrahim Elkanemi, and other government officials when heJOINED over 2,000 IDPs to break the Ramadan fast.

Shettima, who arrived the Yerwa Government Girls College camp of Bama IDPs, at about 6:15pm, first performed the late evening prayers in congregation of the IDPs before settling down to enjoy the breaking of fast with them.

Security was provided by a combined team of policemen and soldiers, who ensured it was a hitch-free session throughout theONE hour stay of the governor and the emir.

The atmosphere was however, not devoid of mixed feelings as IDPs shed tears of joy having their governor and monarch coming toSHARE in their plight.

Governor Shettima, who addressed the IDPs after the sumptuous meals said, “We areHERE in solidarity with our kinsmen. The faces you see here are of people in despair and that of hope of a people who have an indomitable will to bounce back despite the challenges”.

HeASSURED that very soon, the towns that have been liberated will be rebuilt just as he assured the IDPs of President Muhammadu Buhari’s committment to securing the northeast and rebuilding destroyed territories.

Shettima also noted that for the first time, the National EmergencyMANAGEMENT Agency (NEMA), which had in the past maintained a lacklustre attitude towards assisting the state, has improved in their assistance.

The Shehu of Bama, who also addressed his people in the local Kanuri language, thanked the governor for visiting his displaced subjects even as he implored the people to use the Ramadan to seek divine intervention so that they can quicklyRETURN to their homes.

Decapitated man's head found 'covered in Arabic writing' and hung on a factory fence in France

The decapitated head of a man was found around 10am this morning hung on the fence of a gas and chemical factory in Saint-Quentin-Fallavier, near theCITY of Lyon, South East, France. The severed head was found about 30 feet away from the man's dead body which was covered in Arabic writing. 

The attack on the factory, which is American owned, left several people injured as 'gas bombs' were used. It is believed the explosions may have intended to blow up the entire factory site but failed.

A 30 year old named Cazeneuve as Yacine Sali, with no criminal record has been arrested in connection with the attack. He told police that he's aMEMBER of ISIS. The attack is believed to be either ISIS related or ISIS inspired. Though ISIS is yet to claim responsibility for the attack

Ramadan: Pray For Our Leaders, CAN Urges Muslim Faithful

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Kaduna State has implored the Muslim Ummah to take advantage of the Ramadan to pray for elected leaders so that God can prosper the nation and give itDIRECTION.

The CAN Secretary, Reverend Sunday Ibrahim, who made the call in an interview with newsmen in Kaduna, also advised Muslim faithful to maintain peace as the fasting progresses, saying without peace, there can be no meaningful development.

He also appealed to Christians to maintain the peace and pray for their Muslim counterparts.

While he wished Muslims a fruitful fast, the CAN scribe prayed that God answers all their prayers and supplications.

Husband Threaten Wife With Divorce If She Refuse s*x With Other Women

A woman filed a complaint with police after her husband forced her to have s*x with other women, prosecutors in Indonesia said. 42-year-old Lily Elizabeth Marie of Tangerang, told judges at the District Court how her husband, 50-year-old Edy Sulistio, abused her. Read more from Odd News Blog:

Marie said that Sulistio threatened her with divorce and physically and psychologically abused her. The trouble with the marriage began when Sulistio demanded that she have s*x with other women.

When Marie refused, she was beaten. He also threatened her with marrying another woman. The court was also told that Marie was forced to lose 100 pounds inTHREE months.

Marie admitted that she weighed 200 pounds at one point. After a strict diet andHIRING five personal trainers, Marie’s weight went down to 110 pounds. Sulistio is allegedly dating a 20-year-old woman.

Robbery Suspects Set Ablaze After Bullets Couldn’t Pierce Their Body

TWOmore armed robbery suspects were given the jungle treatment as they were burnt to death by an angry mob in Nkpor, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, barely two weeks after two suspects were also set ablaze after they robbed an Hausa trader at the New Tyres Market.

According to Naija Gist, the incident that led to the recent jungle justice came when the robbers armed with pistols, trailed a woman on a commercial motorcycle with money in a ‘Ghana-must-go’ bag that she was taking to theBANK. The suspects allegedly snatched the money from the woman believed to be the cashier of a local bank branch in the town.
After snatching the money, they shot sporadically into the air and in aBID to zoom off, they had an accident with their own motorcycle and the woman and other passer-by who saw the incident raised alarm, alerting a passing police patrol team who went after the hoodlums.
Eyewitnesses report that on sighting the police, the suspects fired shots at them and the police replied but the bullets did not pierce their bodies but they were overpowered by the crowd which dispatched the jungle treatment on them, burning them to ashes.
