How to Tell if He Really Loves You

Here is a chance for you to peek into your man's
mind and tell if he really loves you. He's dated his
fair share of women, and he has always kept his
options open. How will you know if he's made up his
mind that you're the one for him?

1
Listen to how he talks about the future. His
future once meant he had a date on Saturday night,
but with you, he's seeing long-term. When he plans
his next vacation, he finds himself making plans
with you in them, and when his best friend gets
married in six months, you're his date.

2
Note whether he's making room for you in
his life. Other priorities take a back seat to you,
well, because you're more important than them. If
he enjoys fitting you into his busy (or not-so-busy)
life, that means he values your companionship.
For instance, he used to work out religiously, but
lately, when you're free for dinner, he doesn't
mind missing his workout. He's not as worried
about preening as he is missing a romantic
night with you.
Not only that, bringing work home on weekends
seems a bit excessive to him now, and his "to do"
list isn't as important to him as it once was.
He enjoys taking you out with his friends. Be
wary of the guy who never wants you around his
friends, and insists on hanging out alone. He's
either hiding something or he's embarrassed
with you around. The guy who loves having you
around his friends, taking you out, is proud of
who you are and likes showing you off.

3
See if he is softening up when it comes to
you. Instead of insisting on getting his way, he
doesn't mind compromising today. This means he
understands the give-and-take of relationships, and
feels good about giving a little if it means you're
happy or listened to.
He doesn't mind missing a night out with the
guys anymore, because he knows that a night in
will be just as good.
He even doesn't mind going to see that foreign
movie with subtitles that he swears he doesn't
understand. If you it means that you'll be happy,
he'll go out on a limb.
He laughs at the good-natured taunts from his
friends because he knows they secretly wish they
were in his shoes.

4
Note if his spare time is mostly time spent
with you. He looks forward to seeing you, and it
doesn't matter what the two of you do as long as he
gets to spend time with you. When he's with you, he
doesn't need distractions because you're more than
distracting just the way you are.
Those long walks you like so well are okay with
him too. The time flies because you're holding
hands and having a great conversation, and it
doesn't matter that you're not doing anything.
He finds that when he is not with you, he is
thinking about you constantly. When you call
him just to check in, he keeps you on the phone,
telling jokes and engaging in conversation.
He invites you along to activities that he doesn't
normally like doing with someone else. Maybe
he's a bit embarrassed that he's in that ceramics
class, or he's really consumed with cycling. If he
normally enjoys the activity alone, but invites
you, it means he trusts you and wants you to be
involved in the things that really matter to him.

5
Observe what gets his attention. You're not
asking to be the center of his universe — at least not
yet! — but you do want to make sure that his
priorities have shifted, and that those priorities take
you into consideration.
Although he can't help but notice a beautiful
woman sometimes, he's so mesmerized with you
that many of them slip by unnoticed.
He doesn't flirt as much as he used to. What's
the point of flirting with someone else when he
could flirt with you? He is coming to realize that
you're the only woman that really matters to him
and that your feelings matter to him, too.
The things that matter to you start mattering to
him. You've told him you love ballet, and one
night he says that he's thinking about getting
tickets to the ballet. Your priorities become his
because he wants you in his life.

6
Note the sparks. You have great chemistry—you
can't be in love with someone without chemistry.
Chemistry can be as little as the same tendencies or
as big as the same frame of mind. Without
planning it, you two tend to mesh.
He seems to always be on the same wavelength,
finishing your thoughts and your sentences.
And when he does, he looks at you like you two
are the same person with a smile on his face.
His physical attraction to you is undeniable. He
treats you with spontaneous displays of
affection, kissing you on the neck or paying you
a compliment when you least expect it.

7
See yourself through his eyes. He's finding out
more and more that he likes you just the way you
are, and he doesn't stay mad long when you have a
disagreement.
He finds your quirks charming—the fact that you
snort when you start laughing hard, for
example, is unbelievably charming.
He loves that, when you eat, you refuse to allow
any single food item to touch another item on
your plate. He gazes at you adoringly, and
thinks that only you could be so crazy and so
beautiful at the same time.
You say things that make you different from the
others, and this is one of the things that makes
you so attractive to him. He values your opinion
as much as he does your looks.

8
Watch to see if he asks questions about you.
You can tell that he's falling in love with you
because he wants to find out everything about you.
He wants to know where you come from, who
your parents are (a biggie), what you think about
and why, and what makes you laugh. He asks
these questions like he genuinely cares about the
answer, and he remembers your answers, too.
He truly cares about your feelings, and if you've
had a bad day or you're upset about something,
he wants to cheer you up, not because he has to,
but because he genuinely wants you to be happy.

9
Notice whether his thoughts keep coming
back to you. He can't stop thinking about you—he
is consumed by thoughts of you. You pop in his
head for no reason, and he even wonders if you
think of him as much as he does of you.
He wonders what you're doing, and he considers
calling you but doesn't, (he doesn't want to look
too eager).
He talks about you with his friends, his siblings,
and his parents. If he's talking about you with
his mother, especially, it means he's seeking
approval from her.
When he's out with his friends and he spots
something in a shop window that he thinks you
would like, he picks it up for you because he's
thinking about you. He's got it bad for you, and
that's good.

So are you a Lumbersexual?

Another day, another terminology. So according to
the Urban Dictionary, Lumbersexuals are men that
keep finely trimmed beards, what is now commonly
referred to as the beard men. This new phrase
actually started in 2004 but kind of died down but
was "resurrected on October 30th, 2014, when
outdoor lifestyle blog GearJunkie published an article
titled "The Rise of the 'Lumbersexual'", which
highlighted several photos of models and celebrities
as examples of the lumbersexual aesthetic.
So are you or is your boyfriend a Lumbersexual?

Rich Chinese man builds free luxury flats for poor people in the town where he grew up

A 54 year old Chinese businessman Xiong Shuihua
did something amazing for the community where he
grew up in Xinyu, Southern China. He paid to
bulldoze all the wooden huts in the area then spent
millions replacing them with an estate of luxury
flats for the residents.
In total, he housed 72 families to repay them for
their kindness towards him while he was growing
up. He's also giving villas costing about £4m
pounds to another 18 families who were particularly
kind to him. In addition, elderly and low paid
residents will also be given three meals a day for
free.
According to reports, five years ago, the place was
run down with muddy roads, but now that he's
making millions from the steel industry, he decided
to repay the favour his neighbours showed him.
Xiong Shihua said he could afford the project
because he had earned more money than he knew
what to do with.

Jordin Sparks disses ex Jason Derulo in new song, How Bout Now

Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo broke up in
September after dating for almost three years and
even though they say it was an amicable split,
Jordin still seems bitter about it. She released a new
song yesterday titled How Bout Now, where she
kinda dissed Jason. In the track, she sings;
"Remember when you broke your neck and I
had to wash your back for you?" (Jason broke
his neck during dance practice in 2012)
"You thought you had it all figured out back
then, boy how bout now? 'Cuz I'm up right
now, and you suck right now"
"Always been mom's little angel / but once you

blew up head got big and you started
changing / Can't believe all the things you
started saying / Like I'm with you for your fame
and your name, what?"

Robbers kill former military administrator's daughter in Delta State over sum of £760

ARMED Robbers have murdered the daughter of the
former military administrator of Plateau and Kano
State Brigadier Dominic Oneya and stolen
N200,000 (£760) from her in what appears to a
callous attempt to rob her.
Franca Oneya gunned down in cold blood along Ovie
Palace Road in Effurun, Delta State when she was
returning from the bank where she had gone to
withdraw money. Her murder led to pandemonium in
Effurun, the administrative headquarters of Uvwie
Local Government Area of Delta State as about five
gunmen laid siege to the town.
Over the last month, there have been worries over the
dwindling security situation in Warri and environs
and this murder of the mother-of-four has
heightened fears. She was waylaid just few
kilometres from her late father's house, after which
the assailant bolted away with the cash.
One eyewitness said: "The incident happened at
about 10.40am. I saw residents and passersby
scrambling for safety after multiple gunshots were
fired into the air.
"By the time the robbers were done, a pretty young
lady lay in a pool of blood on the driver's seat. A
neighbour, with whom we all rushed to the scene of
the incident identified the victim as the daughter of a
notable politician in the state."
Effurun is in the heart of Nigeria's oil industry and is
the only community in the Niger Delta with a Federal
University of Petroleum Resource. There is also a
Petroleum Training Institute in the town.

Anti-Ebola Drug Found In Anambra

The Acting Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical
Sciences, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Dr
Uzochukwu Ikemefuna, says that some Nigerian
researchers are about to harvest anti-Ebola disease
drug.
Ikemefuna made the disclosure at the maiden
Research Fair and Luncheon of the institution's
Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at its campus in
Agulu, Anaocha local council area of Anambra on
Friday.
He explained that the anti-Ebola drug discovery was
hinged on two new drug design approaches namely
Computer Aided Drug Design (CADD) and Drug
Repurposing (DR).
"These two approaches are being leveraged upon to
cut down the cost and time required for drug
discovery and development.
"We have identified seven approved drugs with
concurrent strong binding affinities for all the four
tested Ebola viral protein targets," Ikemefuna, who is
heading the research group, said.
He however, said that the research was being
hindered by N25 million funds to complete phases
two and three of the project and appealed to
international and local donors to come to its
assistance.
Earlier, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof.
Joseph Ahaneku tasked researchers to translate their
research findings into tangible products to benefit
citizens of the country.
The vice chancellor, who was represented by the
Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academic, Prof. Charles
Esimone, said that there was the need for
researchers to partner with investors for practical
impact.
"Without partnership, no research effort will make
practical impact. Industrialists should partner and
invest in research findings especially on Ebola Virus
Disease and other diseases ravaging Africa,"
Ahaneku stated.
The state Commissioner for Health, Dr Josephat
Akabuike, said that government was determined to
provide quality health delivery to the people and had
established a Central Drug Facility for the purpose.
The commissioner said that the facility was
established to control drug movement and prevent
spread of sub-standard drugs in the state.
Akabuike appealed to stakeholders in the drug
business to collaborate with the state government in
bringing drug counterfeiting to a halt in the state.

Boko Haram Business: Man of God with 2 deadly militants? Yusuf, late BH leader and Asari Dokubo

From left is Mohammed Yusuf(late BH leader), Asari
Dokubo & Ayo Oritsejafor

Can anyone take a look at this picture and absolve
Asari Dokubo and Ayo Oritsejafor of any complicity
in the Boko Haram business. In my wildest
imagination, i still cant put together what could ever
be the relationship between a man of God and 2
deadly militants? This is a clear testimony that there
has been a long time collaboration and direct
funding of the Boko Haram.
Here is what my Bible says in Psalm 1: "Blessed is
the man that walketh not in the counsel of the
ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor
sitteth in the seat of the scornful."
What is your view about the above picture?

Linda Ikeji blog suspended by Google

Popular
news and entertainment blog, Linda Ikeji, was taken
down Wednesday by tech firm, Google, after a row
allegedly over the originality of the blog's contents.
Linda Ikeji blog, published on Google-owned
Blogger, has grown to become one of the most visited
websites in Nigeria.
The site mainly aggregates and republishes news
items and entertainment bits sourced from other
channels, although it occasionally publishes
exclusive contents.
Its publisher, Linda Ikeji, has emerged one of the
most successful online entrepreneurs in Nigeria and
has been rated amongst Nigeria's most influential
young women.
Lately, the site has been hit by multiple allegations of
plagiarism with critics allegedly prodding Google to
suspend the blog. The tech firm disallows plagiarism
on its platforms.
Ms. Ikeji denies lifting materials without proper
attribution.
On Tuesday, Ms. Ikeji said the site came under
attack by her competitors driven by envy over her
success.
The claims followed allegations of plagiarism by the
publisher of another blog, 15Past8, known by the
name Aye Dee. Details of the controversial work are
not clear.
But on Tuesday, Ms. Ikeji dismissed the allegation in
an article, saying she cited sources in all published
materials.
Ms. Ikeji said Mr. Dee and other tech-savvy
publishers were out to have her website suspended by
Google, angered by her success and her recent
acquisition of a N24million SUV.
Ms. Ikeji did not respond to our inquiries
Wednesday.
Google could not be immediately reached also. An
official who was asked about the suspension denied knowledge
of the suspension of the website.

HORROR: 4 year old Boy Attacked, Scalp Chewed off by Savage Dogs in Lagos (Photo)

by two dogs.
And according to Punch, the dogs had chewed the
skin and exposed the victim's skull during the attack
which happened on Thursday on Adegboyega
Street, Akesan Estate, in the Igando area of Lagos.
PUNCH Metro had reported last week that the
police arrested the two dogs for attacking
Omonigho.
However, their correspondent learnt from
eyewitnesses that the dogs dragged him through the
compound for more than one hour while policemen
and sympathisers watched helplessly at the
entrance of the house for fear of being attacked by
the savage dogs.
The immediate elder brother of the victim, seven-
year-old Osemudiamen, told Punch correspondent
that the dogs had chased him, Omonigho and their
elder brother, Bobby, while they were taking turns
to ride a bicycle.
He said:
"We were riding a bicycle in the compound
when the big dogs ─ Jack and Gadaffi ─
started barking at us. Later, they moved
towards us. My elder brother and I quickly ran
upstairs and locked the door while Omo
(Omonigho), who could not run fast, was left
behind. When he got to the door, he knocked
that we should open for him and as we did,
one of the dogs forced his way into the house
with him. We all ran out. Bobby jumped down
from upstairs and I also jumped. But Omo
could not jump, so the dog attacked him. The
other dog also joined in the attack and there
was nothing we could do."
It was learnt that the screams of the children who
managed to get outside attracted passersby and
residents who besieged the house. No fewer than
seven policemen from the Igando Police Station
reportedly stood at the gate, confused.
An eyewitness, who lived on the street, but pleaded
anonymity, said:
"The police came, but said there was nothing
they could do. The dogs were growling as they
ate the child alive and that sent fear into
everyone. Nobody could move inside to
challenge the dogs. Everybody was just
shouting in confusion and wielding sticks."
The victim's mother, Mrs. Helen Abraham, who
was away when the incident happened, said her son
had been injured by the time she arrived at the
scene.
She said:
"When I got there, I met a crowd. They asked
me not to go inside, but I refused to listen to
them. One of the dogs emerged from the
corridor with blood stains in its mouth. I ran
inside. The other dog, on sighting me,
pounced, but I fought back. It later ran away. I
called on people who joined me to take him to
a hospital. This has been a nightmare I want
to wake up from."
The victim's father, Mr. Odia Abraham, said the
medical personnel at the Igando General Hospital
asked them to transfer him to LASUTH because of
the severity of the attack.
"The doctor at Igando said his condition was
critical and we should take him to LASUTH.
When the incident happened, I was away at
work. But when I got home, I saw parts of my
son's scalp on the floor. The dogs dragged him
through the compound for about one and half
hours and nobody moved near them. His face
was also affected, but thankfully it did not get
to his eyes.
His two brothers, who survived, also got
injured. The seven-year-old who spoke with
you has a fracture, which we are still treating.
The other, who is 13 years, has a minor
injury.
We marked Omo's fourth year birthday in
June. He is a very intelligent boy and he
always tells me he wants to be a soldier
because he loves to protect people. I am hoping
this thing will not affect his brain," he said.
The police were said to have arrested the owner of
the dogs, one Stanley Wesley.A resident said the
people living in the house had warned Wesley about
his dogs but he refused to listen.
She said:
"We became alarmed when he brought a third
dog recently which was more ferocious and
bigger than the others. Whenever he took that
dog on a walk, even adults would be scared.
People told him to find a place to keep his
giant dogs, but he refused to listen. It was the
new dog that first followed those children into
the house."
When Punch visited the Burns and Plastic Ward of
LASUTH, he was told the victim was asleep.
The matron in charge of the ward told our
correspondent she would not comment unless the
Public Relations Officer of the hospital gave an
approval. However, the PRO was said to be
unavailable as he was on leave. A medical officer,
who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the
victim's condition was "serious and critical."
The Police spokesperson, Lagos State Command,
DSP Kenneth Nwosu, said the police were the ones
that actually rescued the victim.
Nwosu said:
"I can confirm to you that on September 25, at
about 5.40pm, dogs belonging to one Stanley
Wesley attacked and harmed a four-year-old
boy and the matter was reported at the Igando
Police Division. The report from the Divisional
Police Officer indicated that the dogs were
being kept to undergo some tests, while their
owner had been arrested. The report that the
police did not do anything is not true."

Lt. Col, 15 Others to Face Trial over Chibok Girls

The Nigerian Army has reportedly concluded
arrangements to arraign 16 soldiers over the April
14, 2014, abduction of over 200 students of the
Government Secondary School, Chibok in Borno
State.
Punch reports that three of the soldiers are officers
while the remaining 13 soldiers belong to other
ranks. Barring any last minute change, they would
appear before the General Court Martial at the
Maxwell Khobe Military Cantonment, Rukuba, Jos
in Plateau State after the Sallah
holidays. Punch gathered that the officers were
being charged for failure to perform military duty,
an offence that attracts a maximum of two years'
imprisonment.
Lieutenant Col. A. O. Ojo, who was the Unit
Commander, in Biu, was summoned to the GCM in
relation with the conflict in the number of girls said
to have been abducted by Boko Haram insurgents
and those rescued at the time of the incident. The
officer is also being charged for alleged failure to
reinforce the Chibok community when the incident
occurred.
A source, who confided in Punch said that the Lt.
Colonel had stated that the number he gave was not
the one that was used in a statement by the Defence
Headquarters on the reported rescue of some of the
abducted girls. The said statement was later
withdrawn.
The source said:
"The Lt. Colonel is being charged for
allegedly giving information without
verification, negligent performance of
military duty and not going to reinforce
the place where the incident took place.
The charge attracts a maximum of two
years' imprisonment."
He also said that Ojo had not completely taken over
from his predecessor and had complained about the
number of men and equipment on the ground when
the abduction took place two days after his arrival in
Biu for the mission. It was stated that the shortage
of men was shown by the fact that only the 2nd Lt.
and 13 soldiers were in Chibok in spite of the fact
that the place had a heavy presence of insurgents.
It was gathered that the other soldiers led by
Godknows were on duty at the headquarters of the
Chibok Local Government Area on the day of the
incident. Another source told Punch correspondent
that the Army was not notified of the examinations
that were going on in the school.
The source said that a statement by the Principal of
the School, Asabe Kwambura, corroborated the
soldiers' claim.
Investigations revealed that the soldiers left their
location in Chibok to lay in ambush when they
received a report that insurgents were planning to
attack them on the night the schoolgirls were
seized. They were said to have lost a soldier during
the face-off with the Boko Haram members.
The source said:
"Only Godknows and 13 soldiers were on duty
in Chibok. They were not stationed within the
school. No soldier was stationed in the school
and they didn't know that the school was in
session. Nobody notified these people that the
girls were having an examination in the
school. Even the principal admitted in her
statement that the soldiers were not notified.
They were told that their camp was about to be
attacked so they went out to lay in ambush for
insurgents. One of the soldiers died. But I can
confirm to you that the Army has concluded
preparations to arraign them."
The abduction of the schoolgirls sparked global
outrage with world leaders calling on the terrorist
group and the Federal Government to ensure their
safe release.

US Ebola Patient, Thomas Eric Duncan, Vomited 'All Over the Place' - Witness

Two days after he was sent home from a Dallas
hospital, the first person to be diagnosed with Ebola
in the U.S, now identified as Liberian national
Thomas Eric Duncan, was seen vomiting on the
ground outside an apartment complex as he was
bundled into an ambulance.
"His whole family was screaming. He got outside
and he was throwing up all over the place," an
eyewitness Mesud Osmanovic, 21, told NBC News on
Wednesday, describing the chaotic scene before
Thomas Eric Duncan was admitted to Texas Health
Presbyterian Hospital on Sunday.
42-year-old Liberian citizen, Thomas Duncan had
gone to the United States to visit family and
friends. The New York Times reported Thursday that
Duncan had direct contact with a pregnant woman
stricken with Ebola in Liberia on September 15, four
days before he left for the United States. Citing the
woman's parents and Duncan's neighbors in
Monrovia, Liberia, the newspaper said Duncan had
helped carry the ailing woman home after a hospital
turned her away because there wasn't enough space
in its Ebola treatment ward.
Duncan was tested "like all other passengers" at
Roberts International Airport, located about 60
kilometers (35 miles) east of the capital Monrovia.
He showed no Ebola signs such as high fever,
sweating, vomiting or weakness when tested.
Duncan boarded an SN Brussels Airlines flight. That
plane took him first to the Belgian capital, and he
then flew to the United States, where he arrived
September 20. Four, five days after his trip his Ebola
symptoms manifested. After being asked by a nurse,
Duncan did say that he'd traveled from Africa.
More than 80 people have had at least indirect
contact with Thomas Duncan. Officials said they
have identified 12 to 18 people who Duncan came
into contact with in the United States since he
became contagious. That number includes five
students who attended four different schools in the
area. Duncan's girlfriend's children were also
exposed and the children are now being monitored at
home, though none have exhibited Ebola symptoms.
According to Duncan's friend, who has spoken with
him frequently, Duncan is in pain. He is in a serious
condition. Texas health officials have also ordered
his family members who had contact with him to
stay home and not have visitors until Oct 19th to
prevent the potential spread of disease.

"New Boko Haram Shekau Video is Fake" - Nigerian Military

Nigerian Military authorities have dismissed reports
that Boko Haram's leader, Abubakar Shekau or his
clone, said to have been killed in Konduga last
month by Nigerian troops, is alive.
Shekau had released a video today through AFP
saying he is very much alive but in a statement
released on their website, Nigerian Military Defence
says that's not true. That the video is a pre-recorded
version of Shekau's usual taunts while he was still
alive. Here's the statement:
"The Defence Headquarters is studying the claims
made in the video purportedly released by the
terrorists showing their leader Abubakar Shekau as
dismissing his death. From immediate observation
and what some online news outlets claimed to have
seen,
the video did not indicate when it was shot neither
did it show any proof of life or currency such as
screen time or date. The video also did not make any
reference to anything that has happened since the
impostor's reported death.
It is also noteworthy that the air plane said to be
mentioned in the video had been missing before he
was killed. It should not surprise anybody if the
terrorists decide to manipulate pictures, clone
another Shekau or upload a pre-recorded video all in
a bid to prove invincible.
As far as we are concerned, the individual who was
appearing in video and claiming to be the leader of
the terrorist group was killed in the Kondunga battle
in September. The resemblance of the corpse and
that of the eccentric character was incontrovertible.
His identity was equally corroborated by people who
knew him before we announced his death.
So, while waiting to see the new video before any
further statement, our message to them is that
justice will be served to whoever bears that name or
designation and whoever engages in act"

Boko Haram: Nigeria Military Arrest ICT Expert behind Terrorist Videos

The Nigerian military has arrested a foreign
computer expert who is said to be behind the several
video shots sent to online media organization and
foreign media houses.

Vanguard reports the foreigner was arrested with
some sophisticated equipment and copies of some of
the videos the terrorists had sent to online media
houses on their escapades, including that of the
abducted Chibok girls. Military sources disclosed
that the computer analyst who is currently being
interrogated was responsible for configuring
computer images website and internet accesses for
the group.
Sources said he was arrested after a shoot-out when
a group of the sect members mobilised and attacked
Konduga with a view to recovering the body of the
impostor of Abubakar Shekau for burial in a site
they would later earmark as their shrine. Vanguard
further gathered that the foreigner has made
shocking confessional statements about the
terrorists' plans and modus operandi as well as
their backers that would aid the troops in their fight
against Boko Haram insurgency.
"We have made a very big breakthrough; the
computer analyst is opening up and has made
very big revelations on the modus operandi of
the sect. We also discovered that the ICT expert
is the backbone of the signals and
communication links of late impersonator,
Mohammed Bashir, who always posed as
Abubakar Shekau, whenever he is talking on
"youtube".
With the breakthrough, the military is said to be
better informed on how the impostor of Shekau was
able to reach out to the world and claim victory over Nigerian troops after several attacks.

"US Ebola Patient had Contact with Kids who are now being Monitored" - CNN

The very first case of the deadly Ebola virus
diagnosed on US soil occurred yesterday.
And according to a new report on CNN, some
school-age children have been in contact with the
U.S. Ebola patient being treated in Dallas. Texas
Gov. Rick Perry says the children have been
identified and are being monitored for symptoms.
It's a lapse that has Americans concerned and health
officials asking how it could happen. The
unidentified man had the deadly Ebola virus -- but
didn't yet know it when he walked into a Dallas
emergency room September 26. Although his
symptoms could have indicated Ebola, among other
diseases, no one at the hospital asked him if he had
recently traveled to countries where the virus is
present, a source close to the case told CNN.
The man, who had just flown from Liberia to the
United States, didn't offer the information either, the
source said, and he then left the hospital. A
spokesman for Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital
says it's investigating whether the patient was
questioned about his travels. Regardless, two days
later, on September 28, the man returned to the

BREAKING NEWS-Riot in Abuja suburb claims five lives, 35 vehicles damaged

An ongoing riot in Dei Dei area of Abuja has
claimed the life of five persons and caused the
destruction of over 35 vehicles sparked by a
motorcycle accident in the suburb.
An eyewitness, who narrated the cause of the riot to
our correspondent, said the fracas was ignited after a
motorcyclist knocked down a woman by the
roadside, who sustained serious injury.
This triggered a heated argument among onlookers
and sympathizers. In defense of himself, the
motorcyclist brought out a dagger and stabbed five
people.
This then necessitated counter reactions as residents
from "around the area began fighting in front of the
corner shops located by Tomatoes junction around
the Timber Shed," the source said.
One of the people who was stabbed in the head died
immediately fuelling more reactions which lead to
the death of four others.
Angry residents fought vehemently, smashing and
destroying cars as well as burning houses. This
threw the whole area into mayhem as business men
and women closed down their shops running for
dear lives.
A serious traffic gridlock has taken over the road
leading to the area as people are seen abandoning
their cars as they run for safety.
DailyPost learnt that Mobile Policemen and other
security agencies have been deployed to the area and
all is being done to restore peace. Meanwhile, some
of the security men are said to have also sustained
injuries in the process of quelling the unrest.
Efforts to get official reaction from the security
quarters could not yield any result as at press time.

Meet the snake boy who sheds his skin every 41 days – See how he looks (See Photos)

Guys, meet Indonesian teenager Ari Wibowo –
snake boy, who sheds his skin like a snake every 41
days. Ari has shed his skin every 41 days since he
was born 16 years ago. He must soak his body in
water every hour – night and day – and smear
himself with lotion every three hours to prevent
drying out.
Photographer Nurcholis Anhari Lubis, 35, has
documented the little boy's condition as part of an
essay project and describes the boy's skin condition
as 'scaly like a snake about to shed his skin'. Mr
Lubis told Daily Mail Australia:
'It's really sad because he was not born normally
and has scaly skin all over his body,
similar to being severely burnt, from the sole of
his feet up to his head. If the boy doesn't
moisturise or soak his skin in water, his body
would shrivel and harden up like a sculpture and
he won't be able to move. If he leaves it
unattended for too long, he won't be able to speak
because the wrinkles inside his mouth would go
hard and it would dry out all his blood in his
body.'
"
Mr Lubis said Ari's family were told by doctors at the
hospital where he was born that it did not have the
resources to treat the condition, and asked them to
take the infant away. He and his family now live by a
routine of constant washing and dressing his skin
with creams. Still, the boy is trying to live a normal
life in his village. Mr Lubis continued:
'He eats normal food like everyone else and his
favourite snacks are instant noodles and crackers.
He had trouble making friends when he was
younger and would often go and play with the
other kids but most of the time, they would avoid
him because he is different to everyone else.'
"
Ari is taking lessons, but is forced to study alone
because of ignorance about his condition in the
community.
'No schools are willing to accept him because they
fear his skin condition would be contagious to
teachers and other students,' Mr Lubis said.
"
Ari also suffers prejudice because of superstitions in
his village. Mr Lubis said many people blame Ari's
condition on a superstition that if a woman mistreats
animals while she is pregnant then it will affect her
unborn child. Some people believe Ari's mother
'tortured a lizard' she found in the family home when
she was pregnant with Ari. Ari has trouble talking
because of the condition and the vision in his right
eye is impaired, while the left must be kept moist with
constant drops.

Meet a teenage girl whose body is gradually turning into stone

Ni Min is suffering from a rare condition that turns
her muscles to solid bone – fibrodysplasia ossificans
progressiva (FOP). The genetic mutation is also
known as Stone Man Syndrome and, unfortunately,
there is still no cure for it. Although there are less
than six hundred cases of it across the globe, those
suffering from it eventually die.

Ni Min began showing Stone Man syndrome
symptoms at the age of eight.
The 14-year-old girl began showing symptoms at the
age of eight, after several examinations tests showed
she was suffering from the genetic mutation. Despite
the depressing prognosis doctors and Ni's family
hope to delay the symptoms with medication, in a bid
to prolong her life and slow down the effect of the
rare disease.
Unfortunately, patients usually die in their 40s when
they can no longer breathe.
Dr Zhang Keqin, who is leading Ni's treatment, said:
"At present her condition is not very serious and we
have prescribed medicine for her. We will see how
that goes over the next 6 months. Patients usually die
in their 40s when they can no longer breathe because
of the pressure on their lungs."
The extra bone progressively restricts movement,
forming a second skeleton that imprisons the body in
bone.
The disease causes bone to form in muscles, tendons,
ligaments and other connective tissues. Over time,
this extra bone restricts movement, forming a second
skeleton that imprisons the body in bone. It results in
a gruesome death when the cartilage holding the ribs
together also solidifies, making it impossible to
breathe and eventually the patient suffocates or
suffers massive cardiac arrest.

The logical thing is can one really be checking for

18 Key ways to knock out shyness

1. Understand Your Shyness, Learn to DRESS
WELL and be NEAT
We are all shy in our different ways. Seek to
understand your unique brand of shyness and how
that manifests in your life. Understand what
situation triggers this feeling? And what are you
concerned with at that point? Being shy most times
could be as a result of your outward looks. When
you are not comfortable with what you are wearing,
a lot could go wrong. Wearing dirty clothes and
under wears, hair not looking good, shoes worn
out, etc, would normally make you shy in most
cases when the situation calls for you to be at a
spotlight in any situation. Instead of facing the
work/presentation or issue at hand, you would be
imagining who is looking at your worn out cloth,
shoe etc. But when you wear something neat, and
lovely, you naturally feel good about yourself. They
don't have to be expensive but learn to ALWAYS be
neat at all times. Shave all shaveables, use
perfumes, don't leave your house wearing just
anything. Take it as a duty that from now on, there
are some things you MUST NOT WEAR outside
your house! This would solve your shyness 50%. It
is the day that you are not well dressed that you
would meet someone who knows you.
2. Turning Self Consciousness into Self Awareness
Recognize that the world is not looking at you.
Besides, most people are too busy looking at
themselves. Instead of watching yourself as if you
are other people, bring your awareness inwards.
Armed with your understanding of what makes you
shy, seek within yourself and become the observing
presence of your thoughts. Self awareness is the
first step towards any change or life improvement.
3. Find Your Strengths
We all have unique qualities and different ways of
expressing ourselves. It's important to know
and fully accept the things we do well, even if they
differ from the norm. If everyone was the
same, the world would be a pretty boring place.
* Find something you are good at and focus on
doing it. An identifiable strength will boost
your natural self esteem and your ego, helping you
better identify with yourself. It is a short
term fix, but will give you the confidence you need
to break your self-imposed barrier of fear.
* See how your unique strength gives you an
advantage. For example, Amanda is a naturally
quiet person who prefers to spend time alone. She
learned that she listens better than others and
notices things that others miss in conversations.
She also discovered that her alone time has
given her a better understanding of herself.
4. Learn to Like Yourself
Practice appreciating yourself and liking the unique
expression that is you. STOP COMPLAINING
about yourself...stop saying you wish your this or
that. Write a love letter to yourself, do things you
enjoy, give gratitude for your body and its effortless
functions, spend quality time getting to know
yourself, go on a self-date.
5. Not Conforming
Trying to fit in like everyone else is exhausting and
not very much fun. Understand that it is
okay to be different. In fact, underlying popular
kid's public displays of coolness, they too are
experiencing insecurities, self-consciousness, and
awkwardness. Accept that you may not be
perceived as the most popular social butterfly, and
you may not want to be either. At the end of
the day, being popular will not make you happy.
Accepting your unique qualities can set you free.
6. Focus on Other People
Rather than focusing on your awkwardness in
social situations, focus on other people and what
they
have to say. Become interested in learning about
others, and probe them to talk about themselves.
You can try pondering the question while
interacting: What is it about this person that I like?
7. Releasing Anxiety through Breath
Anxiety and fear can feel overwhelming if you are
practicing to become more assertive in order to
overcome this fear.
* One simple technique to calm this anxiety into
manageable bites is taking deep breaths with
your eyes closed, while concentrating on just your
breaths. Inhale and exhale slowly while
clearing out all thoughts.
* Another technique is from yoga: counting as you
inhale and then as you exhale. Slowly
leveling out your inhale and exhale duration.
Example, 4 count for in and 4 for out. Once your
breaths are leveled, add an extra count during your
exhale. This means slowing down your exhale by
just a tad as compared to your inhale. Continue for
a few minutes until you are comfortable, than
add another count to your exhale. You can easily do
this in the bathroom, or in a spare room of
when you need it.
8. Visualization
Visualizing yourself in the situation as a confident
and happy person helps to shape your
perception of yourself when you are actually in the
situation. Close your eyes, sit back somewhere
relaxing, listen to some relaxing music, imagine
yourself in a scene or situation and see yourself
the way you would like to be. In this scene, how do
you feel? What do you hear? Do you smell
anything? Are you moving? What do you see? Get
all your senses involved to make it real.
9. Affirmation
Words can carry incredible energy. What we
repeatedly tell ourselves, gets heard by our
unconscious mind, and it acts accordingly. If we
repeatedly tell ourselves that we are incapable,
and too shy to do anything, we will become
increasingly aware of evidence to back up this
'fact',
and our actions will always match what we tell
ourselves. Similarly, if we repeatedly tell
ourselves that we are capable, confident, and
wonderful human beings, our unconscious mind
will
likely surface the awareness that gives evidence to
this new 'fact'. While, we can't lie to
ourselves, positive visualization and affirmation
are helpful in placing us along the road of
positive thought patterns.
10. Do Not Leave an Uncomfortable Situation
When we leave shy situations, what we are really
doing is reinforcing our shyness. Instead, face
the situation square in the face. Turn the fearful
situation into a place of introspection and
personal growth. Become the observer and dig into
yourself, answer the questions: why do I feel
this way? What caused me to feel this way? Can
there be an alternative explanation to what is
happening?
11. Accept Rejection
Accept the possibility that we can be rejected and
learning to not take it personally. Remember,
you are not alone and we all experience rejections.
It is part of life and part of the learning
process. The key lies in how you handle rejections
when they come. It helps to be mentally
prepared before they happen:
* Never take it personally. It was not your fault. It
just wasn't meant to be. The scenario
was not the best fit for you.
* Find the lesson – what did you learn? There is a
lesson ingrained in every situation. And
through these life lessons lies the potential for you
to become a better person, a stronger
person. Nothing is lost if you can find the lesson.
See these as the blessings in disguise.
* Move on. Recognize that when you fall into self-
pity, you are not moving forward. Nothing
will be changed from your self-pity. When you start
to recognize this, it becomes clear that only
energy is wasted while we feed to our problem-
seeking ego. Pick yourself up, dust off the dirt and
move on to the next thing. Try again, try again, try
again. It will pay off!
12. Relinquish Perfectionism
When we compare ourselves, we tend to compare
ourselves with the most popular person in the room
or we compare ourselves with celebrities we see on
TV. We set excessive expectations by comparing
ourselves unreasonably to people unlike ourselves
and wonder "why can't I be that?" We carry with
us a vision of another's perfection and expect
ourselves to fit that exact mold. And when we don't
fit, we beat ourselves up for it, wondering why we
are such failures. You see, the problem lies in
our emphasis on fitting into a vision we have
created in our minds, which is not us. Let go of
this perfect image, create visions of yourself out of
the Being from who you are, naturally; and
let that expression flow, naturally.
13. Stop Labeling Yourself
Stop labeling yourself as a shy person. You are you,
you are unique, and you are beautiful. Can't
we just leave it at that?
14. Practice Social Skills
Like any other skill, social skills can be cultivated
through practice and experience. The more
you put yourself out there, the easier it becomes
next time. If you have a hard time knowing what
to say, you can practice what to say ahead of time.
15. Practice Being in Uncomfortable Situations
Sometimes, it is not the social skills we lack, but
rather the lack of self confidence that we may
succeed, and a heightened fear that we will fail.
Placing yourself in these uncomfortable situations
will help to desensitize your fear towards the
situation. The more you force yourself
to face it, and to experience it completely, you will
realize that it is not that bad after all. It may be
hard for your ego to accept at first, but quickly you
will find that you can just laugh and enjoy it.
16. What is Comfortable for You?
Going to bars and clubs isn't for everyone, and
that's okay. Understand what feels comfortable for
you, and find people, communities and activities
which bring out the best in you. You can be just
as equally social in settings that you connect with
on a personal level, than the popular social
settings. You don't have to be doing what
"everyone" else is doing. Besides, everyone else
isn't
necessarily happy, despite your perception as such.
17. Focus on the Moment
Becoming mindful of what you're doing, regardless
of what you're doing, will take focus away from
the self. When you are having a conversation,
forget about how you look, focus on the words, fall
into the words, become absorbed in the words. The
tones. The expression. Appreciate it and give
gratitude for it.
18. Seek and Record Your Successes
As you overcome this condition we've been labeling
as shyness, you will have many wins and
realizations about yourself. You will gain insights
into the truth behind social scenarios. You
will start to view yourself differently and come to
recognize that you can become comfortable and
confident. When these wins and realizations
happen, make sure to keep a notebook and write
them
down. Keeping a journal of your successes will not
only boost self confidence, but also shift your
focus towards something that can benefit you.

‘Dead’ woman heard screaming from inside coffin after being buried alive

Cemetery workers raced to a newly-dug grave after
they heard banging and muffled shouting an hour
after a 45-year-old woman was buried.
As they grabbed tools and anything they could find,
they rushed to dig the grave up again after the
woman woke up to find herself buried alive in a
coffin.
But tragically, the un-named woman died before her
would-be rescuers could reach her inside the plot at a
cemetery near Greece's Thessaloniki.
Now police are probing why the woman was
pronounced dead by doctors treating her for cancer,
only to be found alive.
Her grieving family arranged her funeral at the
graveyard in Peraia, a small town 16 miles south of
Thessaloniki, Greece's main city in the north.
Shortly after the last relatives left the cemetery on
Thursday, residents and a group of children playing
outside reportedly heard a female voice shouting for
help from inside the grave.
They called the police, and began digging up the
grave to save her but she had suffocated to death
inside the coffin, it was reported.
However, a doctor who was at the scene and
examined the woman's body, said she had been dead
for hours and could not have been revived.
Dr Chrissi Matsikoudi told Greek TV channel
MEGA: "I just don't believe it. We did several tests
including one for heart failure on the body. It would
have been impossible for someone in a state of rigor
mortis to have been shouting and hitting the coffin
like that."
A coroner is expected to examine the body.
Meanwhile, relatives of the dead woman say they are
considering filing a complaint against the doctors
responsible for her treatment at the cancer clinic.

Breaking: Amber Rose divorces Wiz Khalifa (Details)

Amber Rose divorces Wiz Khalifa - TMZ just
broke the news. After one year of marital bliss,
Amber Rose just filed for divorce from rapper Wiz
Khalifa. Wasn't it recently she shared wedding
photos and gushed about him?

Amber Rose has filed for divorce from husband-
of-1-year Wiz Khalifa … and she's gunning for
full custody of their kid.
"
In the divorce docs — obtained by TMZ — Amber
says they split on Monday and cites irreconcilable
differences.
"
Amber is asking for full legal and physical
custody of their 1-year-old son Sebastian. She's
willing to give Wiz visitation.
And this is interesting. Amber acknowledges
there's a prenup, which you would think would
work in Wiz' favor, but she says it's valid …
presumably, she's not challenging it. The docs
say the prenup provides spousal support.
"
As for why they split, there's been a buzz over the last
few days of infidelity, but there's no mention of it in
the papers.
We got video of Amber with some guy Tuesday in Bev
Hills. Our photog asks her if Wiz is keeping a close video of Amber with some guy Tuesday in Bev
Hills. Our photog asks her if Wiz is keeping a close
eye on Nick Cannon — there are rumors they've
hooked up, but she's mum.
