Osaze Odemwingie Ruled Out For Three Weeks

posted by Som Offor.

The Nigeria and Stoke City striker, Osaze Odemwingie, has been ruled out of action for the next two to three weeks due to a hamstring injury sustained in training on Thursday, the club has announced.
The Stoke City boss, Mark Hughes lamented the latest set-back for the striker who has struggled to remain fit since the end of the 2014 World Cup.
He told a pre-match conference on Thursday: “Unfortunately Peter has got a hamstring strain and is likely to miss the next couple of weeks. It’s disappointing for him because he has worked tremendously hard throughout pre-season.”

Odemwingie was barely on the pitch in the 2014/15 campaign. He  suffered knee ligament damage in the 1-0 triumph over Manchester City last August, 2014.
Odemwingie returned to action in the 2015/2016 season when he came off the bench against Liverpool in last Sunday’s EPL curtain-raiser but his latest injury means he will not be available for the trip to face Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
Others injured in the Premier League include the former Barcelona forward Bojan Krkic of Stoke, who is just recovering from his latest injury, Thomas Rosicky and Jack Wilshere of Arsenal, Steven Pienaar and Leighton Baines of Everton, Jordie Clasie and Ryan Bertrand of Southampton, Enner Valencia of West ham and Fabian Delph of Manchester City.
