Fina Maiki, a woman who gave false information about Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex- president Goodluck Jonathan, has been arrested by the Police in Delta state.
Vanguard quotes a reliable source in the force to have informed that the woman has been handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Asaba for further investigation with efforts being intensified to arrest her alleged accomplice, Alex Oyoro.
Reno Omokri: The arrest of the woman who bore false witness has vindicated him

The source stated: “We have arrested her and handed her to the State CID, Asaba for further investigation. There is a warrant of arrest for Alex Oyoro and he should be arrested soon. They are needed for providing false information.”
Omokri, who was fired by his former boss following the report on Sahara Reporters, an online news medium, that he burgled a house in Delta and carted away N25 million, also lent his voice on the allegations and revealed the truth about the claims made by the false witness.
He told Naij.com from his base in the United States, that the police interviewed the neighbours who confirmed that the allegation by the woman, Fina Maiki, is a lie.

“After getting a warrant of arrest for her boy friend, Alex Oyoro, the man abandoned my house. My New York lawyer wrote saharareporters’ publisher, Omoyele Sowore and his sponsors, The Ford Foundation and the Omidyar Network.
“To complain about the unethical act of saharareporters.com who did not investigate the story before publishing and who did not contact me though they had my contact details.
“In a civil suit I filed for libel before a Delta State High Court in Asaba, Oyoro denied Saharareporters.com’s story and said he never told them any such things about me,” Omokri explained.

The former aide to ex-president Jonathan on new media , also recently asked the deferal government , explaining that such method is called surrogate motherhood all over the world.
