Aregbesola Reveals Who To Blame For State’s Financial Crisis

Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun state has revealed a possible consequence if President Muhammadu Buhari had not won the March 28 presidential election.
According to him, the immediate past administration of Goodluck Jonathan almost ruined the country and without the emergence of President Muhammadu Buhari, the nation would have been heading for adversity, Daily Post reports.

Speaking in Osogbo, at a forum, Osun Stakeholders’ Conference, organised by Osun Legislators’ Forum, an umbrella body for lawmakers in the House of Representatives, Senate and state House of Assembly, Aregbesola alleged that the on-going financial crises in the country started under Jonathan’s government.
He said: “How we got to this financial crisis is unknown to a lot of people, it is only the wise who may have a flash of understanding of what actually went wrong. It is this similar crisis that we are also battling with in this state as other states are also experiencing.
“This forum gives us opportunity to study in depth, how this situation came about and for us to find a lasting solution to the crisis, so that our state will move forward.”
