GOOD NEWS: Nigerian Army Tells Residents To Return To Liberated Towns

The Nigerian army has announced to fleeing residents that three of the 20 local governments recaptured from terrorist group, Boko Haram, are now safe for habitation, This Day reports.
Preliminary measures have already been taken to create confidence in the heart of the returning residents in the three towns of Konduga, Bama and Gwoza.

Also free medical treatment is now being provided by the Nigerian army for victims affected by insurgent attacks.
Major General Lamidi Adeosun while conducting rounds in one of the liberated towns said the state capital, Maiduguri was already overstretched and urged fleeing residents to return to the liberated towns.
He however explained that the confidence of the people must first be gained before they would willingly return to the liberated towns. Part of the process was the free medical treatment that was being provided. He noted that in Konduga alone, about 1000 affected persons had already received medical attention.
Adeosun explained that the medical outreach would last for three days before the train would move on to another camp.

Brigadier General Ikechukwu Okeke, the medical director of 7 Division, Nigerian army explained that the major problem encountered was that most of the persons in the camp were malnourished. He however said that plans were underway to increase the medical facilities in the camps.
