If
you have watched Manchester United this season at all you would agree
with the next statement (except of course, if you are a Chelsea fan):
‘Manchester United need a forward, and not just a striker, a striker who
knows when to shoot and when to pass.’ Pedro was that Striker and
Manchester United missed out on him and now, 360nobs would be looking at
3 players who Manchester United can turn to after missing out on the
Spaniard: And Sadio Mane, is not one of them.
Nico Gaitan:
The Benfica man was on the same level as Hazard when the Belgian left Lille for Chelsea, how he has remained in Portugal so long remains a mystery to a few pundits in the world but one thing is certain, the Argentine is one of the best wingers playing the game right now. Gaitan goes past defenders at will and can shoot, capable of playing either side of the pitch, Gaitan prefers to play from the right, cut infield and cause havoc on the pitch. Gaitan is different from Ashley Young because he can actually dribble and different from Depay because he makes better decisions. Gaitan’s range of passing would remind you of Andreas Iniesta and his ability to find the net is quite impressive. Gaitan also has a physical presence about him but his biggest weakness would be his inability to fall back and help out his defence. Oh and the Argentine is comfortable playing in the number 10 role, just behind the striker too. If Manchester United spent 25 million Euros, Gaitan could be theirs.
Lucas Moura:
Pace, skill and an eye for goal; this Brazilian wonder kid is yet to really set the World alight as he can and Manchester United might just be the stage where he does that. If you need a man to lead a counter attack, just call on Lucas Moura and watch him tear defenders apart. It helps that the PSG man has a lot of pace on his side. Often let down by his decision to shoot instead of pass, Lucas Moura is an accomplished crosser of the ball and his passing, should he decide to do it is sometimes more beautiful than whatever goal it ends up assisting. While Lucas Moura is not quite the finished Article, you get the feeling that he could become quite influential at Old Trafford under the tutelage of Louis Van Gaal. A fee in excess of 32 million Euros might be necessary to bring Lucas Moura to Manchester United but the sale of Di Maria to PSG by Manchester United might help convince PSG to sell and the player to move.
Kevin Mirallas:
This fleet footed Belgian has become a key member of Roberto Martinez team and is more than ready to step into the big league, with player like Fellaini, Hazard and Lukaku playing for Belgium, Mirallas still commands a first team shirt in his country, that is owing to his incredible skill and the creativity he brings to his play. Mirallas isn’t the quickest of players but he is by no means slow and whatever he lacks in pace he makes up for in the ability of ensuring his markers are left for dead. An accomplished crosser of the ball, Mirallas, is guilty of going for the audacious when he could easily have played a simple pass. Mirallas can score more goals than he is scoring right now and the Belgian is technically gifted, easily creating spaces for his full back to run into when he is on the flank. Mirallas is also very sleek so he needs little room to operate and when he does have room, he can be very deadly. Manchester United can use Mirallas desire to play in the Champions league to their advantage and then spend just about 20 million pounds to make his their latest signing
All these might not be as good as Pedro but would be fantastic signings for Manchester United
