Are
Nigerian police officers above the law? The police are a part of the
government of our country responsible for the protection of lives and
properties.
The average Nigerian policeman in uniform sees his position as an opportunity to break the law and very little has been done to curb these actions.
In an interesting turn of events yesterday evening, Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) officials who are in charge of traffic control challenged Nigerian police officers who were driving against traffic in Lagos usually called ‘one way’.
It is good to know that LASTMA officials are getting bolder by the day in the discharge of their duties.
See the photos below:
Last month, a LASTMA official identified as Kazeem Lawal, died after collapsing around Ishaga Road in Idi-Araba, Mushin area of Lagos while on active duty.
