in Maritime Studies, Tayo certainly stands out in a
crowd. He lists his favourite foods as Eba an Okra
Soup mixed with fish stew, his favourite musicians
as 2Face Idibia, Beautiful Nubia and D'Banj.
Tayo says his favourite place in Nigeria is Oyo Town,
his place of birth. 'That's my home, where I started
life. It reminds me of who I am now and how far I've
come in life,' he says. He says the best thing about
Africa is 'culture and pride' and that his favourite
place outside of Nigeria is South Africa, which he
calls his 'home away from home'.
He entered Big Brother Hotshots because he believed
in himself, and was also encouraged to enter by
others. 'I like to be seen and to be heard,' he says.
Tayo says he's not willing to change who he is or
disgrace his family and friends to impress viewers or
his fellow Housemates. If Tayo wins the grand prize,
he says he'll, set up his life and give himself a life of
luxury.

Man arrested for raping 13-year-old girl

Bauchi – The Bauchi Police Command has arrested a
suspected rapist in Bauchi for allegedly attacking a
13-year-old girl.
The Command's Public Relations Officer (PRO), DSP
Haruna Mohammed, said this in a statement on
Monday in Bauchi.
The statement said that the incident happened on
Sunday (Sept. 28).
He said that the 35-year-old suspect, name withheld,
who resides at Tambari Housing Estate in the
outskirts of Bauchi, allegedly raped the girl who was
alone in her house.
The police image maker added that the suspect had
been arrested by detectives attached to the police
GRA division.
He said that the police had taken the girl to the
hospital for medical examination, adding that the
suspect also had assaulted the girl last year.
Haruna said investigations into the matter had
commenced, pointing out that the suspect would
appear in court as soon as investigation on the
matter is completed.
TBauchi has been witnessing increasing cases of
rape in recent time with boys and girls as victims.

BREAKING NEWS-Riot in Abuja suburb claims five lives, 35 vehicles damaged

An ongoing riot in Dei Dei area of Abuja has
claimed the life of five persons and caused the
destruction of over 35 vehicles sparked by a
motorcycle accident in the suburb.
An eyewitness, who narrated the cause of the riot to
our correspondent, said the fracas was ignited after a
motorcyclist knocked down a woman by the
roadside, who sustained serious injury.
This triggered a heated argument among onlookers
and sympathizers. In defense of himself, the
motorcyclist brought out a dagger and stabbed five
people.
This then necessitated counter reactions as residents
from "around the area began fighting in front of the
corner shops located by Tomatoes junction around
the Timber Shed," the source said.
One of the people who was stabbed in the head died
immediately fuelling more reactions which lead to
the death of four others.
Angry residents fought vehemently, smashing and
destroying cars as well as burning houses. This
threw the whole area into mayhem as business men
and women closed down their shops running for
dear lives.
A serious traffic gridlock has taken over the road
leading to the area as people are seen abandoning
their cars as they run for safety.
DailyPost learnt that Mobile Policemen and other
security agencies have been deployed to the area and
all is being done to restore peace. Meanwhile, some
of the security men are said to have also sustained
injuries in the process of quelling the unrest.
Efforts to get official reaction from the security
quarters could not yield any result as at press time.

Meet the snake boy who sheds his skin every 41 days – See how he looks (See Photos)

Guys, meet Indonesian teenager Ari Wibowo –
snake boy, who sheds his skin like a snake every 41
days. Ari has shed his skin every 41 days since he
was born 16 years ago. He must soak his body in
water every hour – night and day – and smear
himself with lotion every three hours to prevent
drying out.
Photographer Nurcholis Anhari Lubis, 35, has
documented the little boy's condition as part of an
essay project and describes the boy's skin condition
as 'scaly like a snake about to shed his skin'. Mr
Lubis told Daily Mail Australia:
'It's really sad because he was not born normally
and has scaly skin all over his body,
similar to being severely burnt, from the sole of
his feet up to his head. If the boy doesn't
moisturise or soak his skin in water, his body
would shrivel and harden up like a sculpture and
he won't be able to move. If he leaves it
unattended for too long, he won't be able to speak
because the wrinkles inside his mouth would go
hard and it would dry out all his blood in his
body.'
"
Mr Lubis said Ari's family were told by doctors at the
hospital where he was born that it did not have the
resources to treat the condition, and asked them to
take the infant away. He and his family now live by a
routine of constant washing and dressing his skin
with creams. Still, the boy is trying to live a normal
life in his village. Mr Lubis continued:
'He eats normal food like everyone else and his
favourite snacks are instant noodles and crackers.
He had trouble making friends when he was
younger and would often go and play with the
other kids but most of the time, they would avoid
him because he is different to everyone else.'
"
Ari is taking lessons, but is forced to study alone
because of ignorance about his condition in the
community.
'No schools are willing to accept him because they
fear his skin condition would be contagious to
teachers and other students,' Mr Lubis said.
"
Ari also suffers prejudice because of superstitions in
his village. Mr Lubis said many people blame Ari's
condition on a superstition that if a woman mistreats
animals while she is pregnant then it will affect her
unborn child. Some people believe Ari's mother
'tortured a lizard' she found in the family home when
she was pregnant with Ari. Ari has trouble talking
because of the condition and the vision in his right
eye is impaired, while the left must be kept moist with
constant drops.

Meet a teenage girl whose body is gradually turning into stone

Ni Min is suffering from a rare condition that turns
her muscles to solid bone – fibrodysplasia ossificans
progressiva (FOP). The genetic mutation is also
known as Stone Man Syndrome and, unfortunately,
there is still no cure for it. Although there are less
than six hundred cases of it across the globe, those
suffering from it eventually die.


Ni Min began showing Stone Man syndrome
symptoms at the age of eight.
The 14-year-old girl began showing symptoms at the
age of eight, after several examinations tests showed
she was suffering from the genetic mutation. Despite
the depressing prognosis doctors and Ni's family
hope to delay the symptoms with medication, in a bid
to prolong her life and slow down the effect of the
rare disease.
Unfortunately, patients usually die in their 40s when
they can no longer breathe.
Dr Zhang Keqin, who is leading Ni's treatment, said:
"At present her condition is not very serious and we
have prescribed medicine for her. We will see how
that goes over the next 6 months. Patients usually die

of the pressure on their lungs."

breaths. Inhale and exhale slowly while
clearing out all thoughts.
* Another technique is from yoga: counting as you
inhale and then as you exhale. Slowly
leveling out your inhale and exhale duration.
Example, 4 count for in and 4 for out. Once your
breaths are leveled, add an extra count during your
exhale. This means slowing down your exhale by
just a tad as compared to your inhale. Continue for
a few minutes until you are comfortable, than
add another count to your exhale. You can easily do
this in the bathroom, or in a spare room of
when you need it.
8. Visualization
Visualizing yourself in the situation as a confident
and happy person helps to shape your
perception of yourself when you are actually in the
situation. Close your eyes, sit back somewhere
relaxing, listen to some relaxing music, imagine
yourself in a scene or situation and see yourself
the way you would like to be. In this scene, how do
you feel? What do you hear? Do you smell
anything? Are you moving? What do you see? Get
all your senses involved to make it real.
9. Affirmation
Words can carry incredible energy. What we
repeatedly tell ourselves, gets heard by our
unconscious mind, and it acts accordingly. If we
repeatedly tell ourselves that we are incapable,
and too shy to do anything, we will become
increasingly aware of evidence to back up this

and our actions will always match what we tell

wonderful human beings, our unconscious mind
will
likely surface the awareness that gives evidence to
this new 'fact'. While, we can't lie to
ourselves, positive visualization and affirmation
are helpful in placing us along the road of
positive thought patterns.
10. Do Not Leave an Uncomfortable Situation
When we leave shy situations, what we are really
doing is reinforcing our shyness. Instead, face
the situation square in the face. Turn the fearful
situation into a place of introspection and
personal growth. Become the observer and dig into
yourself, answer the questions: why do I feel
this way? What caused me to feel this way? Can
there be an alternative explanation to what is
happening?
11. Accept Rejection
Accept the possibility that we can be rejected and
learning to not take it personally. Remember,
you are not alone and we all experience rejections.
It is part of life and part of the learning
process. The key lies in how you handle rejections
when they come. It helps to be mentally
prepared before they happen:
* Never take it personally. It was not your fault. It
just wasn't meant to be. The scenario
was not the best fit for you.
* Find the lesson – what did you learn? There is a
lesson ingrained in every situation. And
through these life lessons lies the potential for you
to become a better person, a stronger
person. Nothing is lost if you can find the lesson.

* Move on. Recognize that when you fall into self-
pity, you are not moving forward. Nothing

‘Dead’ woman heard screaming from inside coffin after being buried alive

Cemetery workers raced to a newly-dug grave after
they heard banging and muffled shouting an hour
after a 45-year-old woman was buried.
As they grabbed tools and anything they could find,
they rushed to dig the grave up again after the
woman woke up to find herself buried alive in a
coffin.
But tragically, the un-named woman died before her
would-be rescuers could reach her inside the plot at a
cemetery near Greece's Thessaloniki.
Now police are probing why the woman was
pronounced dead by doctors treating her for cancer,
only to be found alive.
Her grieving family arranged her funeral at the
graveyard in Peraia, a small town 16 miles south of
Thessaloniki, Greece's main city in the north.
Shortly after the last relatives left the cemetery on
Thursday, residents and a group of children playing
outside reportedly heard a female voice shouting for
help from inside the grave.
They called the police, and began digging up the
grave to save her but she had suffocated to death
inside the coffin, it was reported.
However, a doctor who was at the scene and
examined the woman's body, said she had been dead
for hours and could not have been revived.
Dr Chrissi Matsikoudi told Greek TV channel
MEGA: "I just don't believe it. We did several tests
including one for heart failure on the body. It would
have been impossible for someone in a state of rigor
mortis to have been shouting and hitting the coffin
like that."
A coroner is expected to examine the body.
Meanwhile, relatives of the dead woman say they are
considering filing a complaint against the doctors
responsible for her treatment at the cancer clinic.

BREAKING: Boko Haram in Talks over Release of Chibok Girls

The officials met four times in mid-August with two
senior members of Boko Haram in Nigeria's capital,
Abuja.
The swap would involve the released of 30 Boko
Haram commanders in the custody of the Nigerian
government, according to the source, who asked not
to be named due to the sensitivity of the issue.
Boko Haram submitted a list with the names of 30
members who were either convicted or awaiting trial
on terror offenses.
"The two Boko Haram negotiators assured the
ICRC and government negotiators that the girls
were never raped, were never used as sex slaves
and were never sexually assaulted," said the
source, who attended the discussions.
The terror group abducted an estimated 276 girls in
April from a boarding school in Chibok in
northeastern Nigeria. Dozens escaped, but more
than 200 are still missing. Boko Haram has
expressed a willingness for a swap with the ICRC at
an undisclosed, according to the source. But there
was disagreement on some terms, including the
number of girls involved in the swap.
Boko Haram had insisted on an even swap -- 30
girls for the 30 commanders -- but the government

Kebbi Governor Slaps Adc For Preventing Stranger From Touching Him

In a clear show of power, Kebbi State Governor
Saidu Nasamu Dakingari gave his Aid De Camp,
Mohammed Umar, executive slap recently.
According to sources the assault took place at the
Ahmadu Bello International Airport in the state
capital, Birnin-Kebbi, at a ceremony marking the
airlift of pilgrims.
Sahara Reporters reports that the governor
descended on his ADC in the presence of pilgrims
and other officials at the ceremony.
According to the report, Dakingari's ADC had
prevented a total stranger, who was attempting
to pull at the governor's clothes.
Instead of commending his ADC for protecting
him, the governor allegedly slapped him,
accusing him of over-zealousness in preventing a
stranger from meeting him.
Those present during the drama also accused the
Inspector General of Police in Abuja of failing to
intervene and demand an apology and restitution for
the assaulted officer.

Popular Nigerian Musician Sean Tizzle performed
naked at the UNIBEN Coke Studio Africa show this
afternoon.
The show, organised by #CokestudioAfrica was held

Another Church Building Collapses In Edo, 3 Feared Dead

Exactly one week after a church building collapsed in
Lagos killing more than 70 worshippers
, another church building has collapsed in Benin
city. the Edo state capital on Friday, September 19,
2014.
Three persons are feared dead as a storey building
belonging to Christ Chosen Church of God located at
Usama street, Uzebu quarters in Benin City
collapsed.
The states Police commissioner, Folunso Adebanjo,
who visited the scene after the collapse, expressed
shock over the incident, saying that the Command
would investigate the cause of the incident.
The building which collapsed was the church office
and residence of church officials.
One body has been removed from the rubble while
two persons are still trapped.
According to reports, there were nine workers hired
at N3000 per day who were working in the building
on the day the building collapsed. Three of the
workers escaped death by the whiskers as they
stepped out of the building to eat before the tragedy.
Five were rescued from the building but came out
with broken limbs.
Angry residents went violent and set a bus belonging
to the church on fire and destroyed the worship
auditorium of the church.
They blamed the church for the tragedy saying they
used manual labour to demolish the building instead
of hiring an excavator.

Lesbian woman executed for starving girlfriend's 9yr old son to death

Lisa Coleman (left), 38, was pronounced dead at
6:23pm today in Huntsville, Texas. She had been on
death row for the past eight years, after being
convicted of the 2004 death of her girlfriend's 9yr old
son, Davontae Williams (right) who had been beaten
and bound, and whose body bore more than 250
scars when officials discovered him on July 26,
2004. He had also been starved, weighing a mere 35
pounds at the time of his death.
Witnesses said Coleman appeared to be at peace with
the execution on Wednesday telling her jailers: 'I'm
ready. I know where I'm going. I'm not bitter, just
ready'. She then smiled and blew kisses at the
supporters gathered at her execution and said 'God
bless you all'. Her last words were directed at her
fellow inmate, Darlie Routier. 'Tell them I finished
strong.' Coleman was given a lethal injection at 6pm
and was pronounced dead at 6:23pm. No one showed
up to represent the victim, Davontae.
She is the sixth woman to be executed in Texas since
1982. The last woman put to death was Suzanne
Basso on February 5 of this year.
Davontae's mother and Coleman's former girlfriend,
Marcella Williams (pictured left), is currently serving
a life sentence for his death, after reaching a plea
deal.
Williams, who was just 14-years-old when she gave
birth to Davontae, had been investigated by Child
Protective Services seven times between 1995 and
2002. In 2002, they lost track of the family.
Prosecutors in Coleman's case used the charge of
kidnapping to justify asking for the death penalty.
According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, they
argued that Coleman 'did not allow Davontae to have
visitors, kept him from visiting others by restraining
him and told people he was not at the apartment
when he was there.'
The young boy's ultimate cause of death was
malnutrition.
Paramedics who arrived on the scene after it was
reported the child was having trouble breathing
found him dressed in nothing but bandages and a
diaper, and reported that the boy had clearly been
dead for several hours.

Husband sells wife to ritual killers in Plateau state

The Plateau Police Command has arrested a 35-year-
old man, Maimako Shepang, who allegedly sold his
wife to ritualists.The Commissioner of Police in the
state, Mr Nasiru Oki, said this on Wednesday in Jos
while briefing newsmen.
Oki said that Shepang, a resident of Kwalla Village
in Quan Pan Local Government of Plateau, deceived
his wife, Agnes, into a nearby bush with the pretext
of helping her to fetch firewood."When they entered
the bush, Shepang handed over his wife to the
ritualists who took her away for ritual purposes.
"At their shrine, the ritualists, whose faces were
masked, asked Agnes whether she was still a
spinster, to which she answered in the negative.
"She told them that the man that brought her was her
husband.
This development infuriated the ritualists, who
quickly told her to run away since the person they
wanted for the sacrifice was expected to be a spinster
and a virgin,'' Oki said.The commissioner said that
Agnes, who was stripped of her clothes, ran naked to
the village where she reported her ordeal to the
villagers who then reported the matter to the
police.According to Oki, the police have also arrested
one of the ritualists and he is being questioned along
with Shepang.
"The other ritualist is still at large, but we are closing
in on him.'' the police said.

STUDENT FLUSHES NEWBORN BABY IN A UNIVERSITY TOILET (incredible graphic picture)

This is the incredible image that shows a newborn
baby girl wedged inside the pipe from a university
toilet after her student mother gave birth and then
fled leaving the child behind.
Mirror reports that Police believe that the young
woman had hoped to hide the pregnancy but because
the toilet had no water filled U-bend, and because the
pipe was only twenty centimetres wide, the baby
girl's body had become wedged a short way down,
where her cries alerted other students who then
raised the alarm.
Firemen who rushed to the student dormitory in the
city of Linyi in eastern China's Shandong Province
were amazed to find the child wedged in the pipe and
clearly still alive from the noise she was making, and
realised it was a race against time to free her.
Fire Brigade spokesman Tao Fang said: "It was
impossible to get the baby out from above. She had
fallen into the toilet and gone down the pipes were
she had got stuck between the third and fourth floors.
We used an angle grinder to break open the pipeline
on the third floor and we could then push the child
up to colleagues on the fourth floor where she was
handed to medics who were waiting to take her to
hospital.
Police meanwhile managed to track down the child's
mother who was a student living in the building and
who was also hospitalised. Police say they are
waiting to question her before deciding what she
might be charged with.
The shocking story caused heated debate on Chinese
social media sites with many lamenting lack of
decent values among the country's youth and shock
at the way she had simply abandoned the baby in the
toilet.
One user on China's popular social media site
Weibo, WangLo34, said: "I find the image of a young
woman giving birth in the toilet, cleaning herself up
and then going back to her room to carry on studying
a particularly worrying one and a sign of the sort of
throwaway society that we live in now days."
