Northern Ulama Forum berates Kwankwaso for insulting President Jonathan

The Northern Ulama Forum for Peace and
Development has warned Kano State governor,
Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, to discontinue any form of
insult on the person or office of the President of the
country, saying such an act was unbecoming of a
public office holder.
President of the Forum, Ustaz Sabiu, who passed the
note of warning on behalf of the group, said it had
become the activity of Alhaji Kwankwaso to rain
insults on President Jonathan.
Sabiu noted that insulting the President by calling
him all manner of names with lack of decency and
modesty at a public function was not expected of a
high placed public servant as Governor Kwankwaso.
The forum was reacting to a statement by the Kano
State governor in his speech on Tuesday, during the
All Progressives Congress, APC, Governors Forum
Public Lecture in Owerri, Imo State, where the
governor was said to have insulted the person and
office of the President in a discourteous manner.
"The attention of the Northern Ulama Forum for
Peace and Development has been drawn to yet
another insult on the person and office of President
Goodluck Jonathan by the governor of Kano State,
Rabiu Kwankwaso," advising him to desist from
insulting the President openly.
