Chelsea Reportedly Trailing Song

Alex-Song
According to the Daily Express, Chelsea are currently working on a deal to bring former Arsenal midfielder (and occasional defender) Alex Song to the premier league.
Alex Song spent last season on loan at West Ham and was impressive in his return to the Barclays premier league and Chelsea have moved for the Cameroonian ahead of West Ham, primarily to make him a backup midfielder or a second holding midfielder who can pair Matic in the middle of the park if need be so as to be able to place Zouma in the center of defense when the need arises. Mourinho is simply looking to bolster his already formidable squad and Alex Song would obviously be interested in moving to a top club in the premiership that would offer him playing time, UEFA champions league football, an opportunity to win trophies and the chance to beat Arsenal.
No deal has been struck yet but it is believed that Song is valued as about 8 million Euros.
