Harry Kane says transfer speculations linking him with a move to Manchester United are “flattering,” insisting he is “happy” at Tottenham Hotspur.
United are reportedly weighing up a big-money swoop for the England striker, who scored 30 goals in 41 appearances in all competitions last season and was named the PFA Young Player of the Year.
The figure which has been doing the round lately as regards Kane, 21, is in the region of £40m.
He told BBC Sport: “”I am happy at Spurs and I look forward to the future with Spurs.
“I have seen there isINTEREST but that’s all I know. It is flattering for other clubs to maybe be interested.”
United manager Louis van Gaal is poised on improving hisOPTIONS in the forward line as the Red Devils prepare for their return to European competition.
Kane is underCONTRACT at White Hart Lane until 2020. He established himself as a key figure in Mauricio Pochettino’s squad in the 2014-15 season.
Spurs were League Cup runners-up to Chelsea and finished just six points behind fourth-placed United this season.
