A 25-year old woman, simply identified as Joy Tunde has been arrested earlier today in Edo .
The Nations reports that she was arrested after it was discovered that she threw her 3-day-old baby into an uncompleted building.
The uncompleted which is also residential is located at Obazuaye Street, off Osakpamwan Street, Evbareke Quarters, Egor local government area of Edo State.
She was said to have done this at about 2am on Saturday while everyone was asleep. However, resident discovered the baby three days later and she was discovered to be the mother of the baby after a tedious investigation.
When residents threatened to use spiritual means to attack the culprit, Joy confessed saying she did so in order to get rid of the baby since the man who impregnated her did not accept the baby. Before the teaming crowd could carry out jungle justice on her, men of the Textile Mill road Police Division arrested Joy and her mother. The baby which was discovered with bruises all over its body was taken to the Neonatal clinic of the Benin Central Hospital and it was made known that its already responding to treatment.
It would be recalled that just few days ago, the incumbent governor of Kaduna state, Mallam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai got everyone surprised when he allegedly took his son to the hospital around 5am without any security detail.
