The All Progressive Congress, APC, National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu alongside Chief Bisi Akande, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, and several other party chieftains were reportedly gathered at the International Conference Centre Abuja, when news filtered in that the Senate had been inaugurated and that Saraki had emerged unopposed.
That was not enough, as Senator Ike Ekweremadu of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party defeated Senator Ali Ndume of the APC to clinch the slot of Deputy Senate President.
On hearing about the development, Tinubu immediately stormed out of meeting telling newsmen that he has no comments.
“I have no comment, I have no reaction,” he added.
The APC National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun said, “We just watched it (on television) but we will address you when the whole situation has been re-examined.”
