Aisha Buhari, the wife of President Muhammadu
Buhari, on Thursday, September 17, paid a visit to the Federal Medical
Center in Yola.
It should be recalled that an explosion rocked Malkohi camp for the internally displaced people in Yola, Adamawa state, last week.
Although no group took responsibility for the attack, it is believed that the assault was carried out by the dreaded Boko Haram sect. Many people sustained serious injuries and were rushed to the hospital without delay.
President Buhari strongly condemned the attack, having characterized it as a heinous and cowardly act. The country leader also ordered the relevant agencies to enhance security in and around all IDP camps across the country.
Nigeria’s First Lady, also did not stay indifferent to the hardships of the blast victims and came to the hospital to sympathise with those affected by the incident. See the photos provided by The Nation below:
