moods and behaviours are captured continuously on
camera, and packaged for television viewers to
partake in their feelings and their daily real life
dramas.
Housemates are visited and trained by seasoned
resource persons in the fields of writing, literary arts,
science and technology, sports, leadership, health,
and entertainment. As the show progresses,
housemates drawing from the trainings, their
intelligence and their exposure to books and reading,

critical thinking contests, debate competitions,

declamation contest, mumble jumble, mastermind
series, fastest and best, essay writing contests and
many more. Housemates' evenings and spare times
are spent having fun –excursions to tourist sites,
partying, swimming, chatting, sporting, moonlight
games, and most especially READING. All these, the
viewers enjoy on TV.
Eviction tasks continue till two finalists emerge.
They contest in a debate on the grand finale in the
presence of parents and dignitaries. The winner goes
home with N2,000,000, scholarship star prize, first
runner up goes with N500,000 scholarship prize

BRIEF ABOUT RASDA
Reading Awareness Society for Development in
Africa (RASDA) is a Non-Governmental and a non-
profit making organization with an unquantifiable
passion for the promotion of reading culture in
Africa. Over the years, RASDA has taken great and
effective steps to rigorously campaign against the
neglect of books especially by the children and youth
of Nigeria. The activities of RASDA has been
centered on making all to see the importance of
developing the culture of READING hence our
slogan is …reading brings out the star in you.
RASDA has since inception began to engage in
effective campaign programmes backed-up with
passion and resolute commitment.
At several times, we organized workshops, seminars,
and training sessions for students, teachers, parents
and other stakeholders in the education sector. We
have also donated reading posters and billboards to
primary, secondary and tertiary institutions in Oyo
State. A 40ft by 20ft billboard was donated to the
Kwara State Ministry of Education.
